The Department of EE started in the year 1996. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training, and innovative research at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various areas of Electrical Engineering with a broad emphasis on design aspects of electrical systems. This program aims at producing Technocrats with sound knowledge and skill in electrical engineering. This department has 10 well equipped undergraduate level laboratories and 04 research laboratories, where students work on projects which is beyond the syllabus. The major areas of faculty expertise of the department include Electrical Power & Control, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Power System Engineering, Electric Vehicles, Power Electronics and Drives, Smart & Micro Grid, Soft Computing, etc. The majority of the Faculties of this Department are Ph.D. and around 100 research papers are published annually, in various reputed Journals. The department of EE is accredited by NBA & Re-Accredited by NAAC with A++ in the year 2022.
